10 questions · Four choices · No timer
Can you get 10/10?
Ten European capitals, including small countries and easy-to-confuse names. Take your first round without looking anything up, then challenge a friend to the same set.
A fair challenge for your group
Everyone gets the same ten countries in the same order; the answer choices change position. Each correct answer earns one point. There are no speed bonuses, so a slower reader can take the time they need. Once you choose, the answer is locked and the explanation appears.
Your result has a playful title and a score out of ten. These titles describe this quiz only, not your rank among players or your overall geography knowledge. On supported devices you can open the share sheet; otherwise copy the result text. You can also save a square PNG result card for a post or story.
Sharing sends a link to this challenge so friends can play the same set. It does not create a public leaderboard or a verified score record. Scores stay in the current page session and reset when you reload. A repeat round is practice; compare first attempts if you want a friendly contest.
What title will you get?
- 0–3: Curious Traveller
- 4–6: World Wanderer
- 7–9: Geography Explorer
- 10: Capital Champion
An 8/10 result reads “Geography Explorer.” A perfect score means you answered this set correctly; it does not mean you have mastered every European capital. After your result, retry just the questions you missed. Review scores stay separate from your original ten-question result.

Make it a trivia night
Let each player choose a new theme after the first round: guess the country from its capital, identify a flag, or explain a map clue. Use our geography trivia for friends guide for three ready-to-read rounds and an answer key. For a visual round, the eight-country flag and map challenge is ready to play.
Want to practise before the rematch? Read the European capitals study sheet or try the Slovakia vs Slovenia comparison. Keep the two names you mixed up together, then check them again after a break.

Country-capital pairs are cross-checked against our European capitals reference and the UN geographical names dashboard. Additional references: Vaduz municipality, Andorra Tourism, Montenegro Tourism and Moldova Travel. Question set: E10-1.
